Learn to draw a Portrait! Learn "tricks" (geometry) of basic facial structure, how to place and draw facial features and shading/colouring if desired.
Younger students do very well without a mirror. Pencil Drawing or Oil Pastel (Full 1.5 Hours) is recommended for K - 3.
Students in Grades 4 will get a bit more detail and will enjoy the project in Pencil, Oil Pastel or Charcoal Sketching. (1.5 hours)
For older students, Grades 5 - 7, a mirror will add more detail. Choose Charcoal or Pencil Sketching.
